Why give monthly?
It’s Affordable
By giving monthly, you invest what makes sense for your budget while also making an incredible impact over the course of your membership.
It’s Sustained Support
Monthly gifts let us grow, innovate, and invest with confidence, knowing we have the steady support of the Chai Club.
It’s Scheduled
Giving is a wonderful thing, but oftentimes it can fall behind many of life’s priorities. As a Chai Club member, you’ll make a lasting impact without extra effort.
What is the commitment duration?
It’s as long as you'd like. Our system will charge your card monthly until you decide to increase or otherwise. Just let us know and we'll take care of it.
What are these funds used for?
Chai Club members will receive quarterly updates on JGrads programming and initiatives funded with their generosity.
Doesn't Chabad have lots of money?
JGrads is responsible for the vast majority of our budget and only receives a small percentage of our funding from Chabad HQ. The Jewish Federation of St. Louis provides significant sponsorship, but is also a fraction of our annual budget. We're extremely grateful for your partnership!
Habit of kindness
Maimonides emphasizes the virtue of making numerous, smaller donations over a singular lump sum, even if the total amounts are equivalent. This wisdom is grounded in a dual rationale: (1) Each individual mitzvah holds intrinsic value, irrespective of its size. (2) The more acts of giving, the more we nurture a habit of kindness within ourselves, which pays dividends in every area of our lives.
How much?
Pick a bill that you readily pay, without hoping it would disappear and match it. The Rebbe taught us to always push ourselves, a little bit at a time. Of course, try to pick an amount that you'll be comfortable to maintain. May you be blessed!
